How it started
One truck, and a phone somebody answered
Big Dave's Dumpster Rental went on the road in 2016, when Dave Pruitt — Big Dave to everyone who calls — got tired of watching out-of-town haulers treat Murfreesboro customers like an afterthought: vague on timing, quick to add a charge nobody mentioned on the phone, and impossible to reach once the container was already sitting in the driveway. He'd spent years around trucks and construction sites across Rutherford County before that, and figured a company that actually answered its own phone would not have much trouble finding work.
The pitch was the opposite of what he'd seen: one number that covers the whole job, a delivery window we actually hit, and someone on the line who has genuinely loaded a container. That idea hasn't moved since, and in a county growing as fast as this one, word travels. A framer tells the next framer, a roofing crew mentions it to a supplier, a family clearing a parent's house tells the next family down the street — and the yard on 1018-1024 Seals Way keeps getting busier.

Add in the steady new-subdivision and commercial construction that comes with being part of the fast-growing Nashville metro, plus the I-24 corridor running right past our own yard, and you get a mix of jobs that changes by the season and by the neighborhood.
Downtown streets around the square and the older residential blocks near it tend to run tighter than the newer subdivisions out toward Smyrna and La Vergne, so placement gets planned differently depending on where the job is. And when spring storm season rolls through Middle Tennessee, low ground near the Stones River can hold water after a hard rain — one more thing we keep an eye on the same way anyone local does.

What a normal week looks like
Monday might open with a 15 yard on a short drive near downtown for a garage cleanout, then a swap on a framing job out toward Christiana where the crew filled a 30 faster than anyone planned. Tuesday could be a tear-off in Walter Hill where the box has to sit tight to the eave because the lot slopes away from the house.
Midweek there's usually an estate clearance or a whole-home cleanout — an older house near the historic square or a newer build out in a subdivision, scheduled around what's actually being disturbed rather than a generic timeline. Fridays lean commercial: restaurant and retail fit-outs along the growth corridors, light-industrial tenants near I-24, property managers turning units.
Come May and again in August, MTSU's move-out and move-in weeks add a real spike of apartment and dorm cleanout calls on top of everything else. And when spring storm season leans on all of it, downed limbs and storm debris turn into a run of yard-waste calls almost overnight — we stage extra containers ahead of a forecast system so we can move fast once it clears.
